Envoy of malice

The Envoy of Malice, first seen in the second dungeon, Sprite Forest.

The Envoy of Malice is the servant and overseer of the Malice King.

Description[]

The players first see the Envoy in Sprite Forest. From there, he will be present in every boss dungeons except The Keep, where he is instead the boss monster that must be defeated. In other dungeons, he offers to buff the player that is talking to him for a small price that increases with each dungeon. In The Keep, a black skeleton with a side quest mentions how the Envoy may be the one who put a monster known as The Abomination to frighten everyone else in the castle.

Fighting Style[]

In the first phase, the Envoy uses the following attacks:

  • At the beginning, he will open up by randomly teleporting to one of four specific locations twice and firing dark balls for each teleport.
  • Creates a singular dark ball that circles around him that deals very low damage. The dark ball will slowly move away from him until it hits something.
  • Fires dark balls in a Five Way Shot like pattern. This can instantly kill players even with high HP and Defense if all of them hit.
  • Homes in on the players' locations, then attacks them with one of three elements, inflicting a status condition. This can be dodged by quickly moving away.
  • Creates a barrier around himself that reflect projectiles. Reflected projectiles will deal damage to players. He is still vulnerable to melee attacks and other non-projectiles attacks while the barrier is up.
  • At a specific HP threshold, he will fire many dark balls in a specific pattern.

In the second phase, he will continue to use the above attacks except for the singular dark ball, in addition to the following attacks:

  • Randomly teleport to one of four specific locations and fire dark balls. They can kill players even with high HP and Defense if all of them hit.
  • Fire five green soundwaves that confuse players. He can change direction while using this.

Strategy[]

Dodging skills are especially needed when fighting the Envoy. A good strategy is to constantly move around while attacking a few times in order to avoid being hit. As an alternative, most of his attacks can be blocked using shields.
